All Creatures Pet Care Center has been a steadfast presence in the Porterville community since 1964. Our roots run deep, initially serving both companion animals and livestock. In 1975, Dr. Richard Merrill recognized a growing need for specialized care for our furry companions and purchased the small animal portion of the practice, establishing Westwood Veterinary Hospital. These early years saw the clinic operating from a repurposed house, reflecting the personal touch and dedication that has always been at the heart of our care. In 1992, a significant expansion allowed us to become All Creatures Pet Care Center, encompassing a spacious 6,700 square feet facility dedicated solely to providing comprehensive care for pets. This move marked a new era for our practice, allowing us to offer an even wider array of services and better serve the needs of our beloved animal patients.

Dr. Merrill's vision of exceptional veterinary care continued under the expert guidance of Dr. Marcella Roan and Dr. David Imbach, both committed to upholding the highest standards of patient well-being. Dr. Imbach, who joined the practice right after graduating from the University of California-Davis in 1986, embodies this dedication. His journey with our practice began in his high school years when he worked for Dr. Merrill, demonstrating a passion for animal welfare from a young age. This long-standing commitment to excellence was recognized in 1994 when All Creatures Pet Care Center was awarded an Award of Merit in Veterinary Economics Magazine's design contest, further cementing our reputation for providing a caring and innovative environment for both pets and their owners.
