At Myrtle Avenue Pet Center, we are passionate about providing the best possible care for your beloved pets. As a family-owned and operated business, we have been serving the Eureka and Arcata communities since 1986.

Our History

Myrtle Avenue Pet Center was established in 1986 by Jeff Kelley-Day, DVM. In September 2005, the business came under new ownership, with Larry and Melanie Noe at the helm. Despite being separate businesses, we have a close working relationship with the Myrtle Avenue Veterinary Hospital, which is located next door.

Our mission is to provide exceptional customer service, while ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of your pets. We strive to be a one-stop-shop for all your pet's needs, offering a wide range of premium pet food, supplies, and accessories. Our team of knowledgeable and friendly staff members are dedicated to helping you make informed decisions about your pet's care.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services to cater to your pet's needs. Our services include:

  • Pet Food, Supplies & Accessories: We have a large selection of premium pet food, supplies, and accessories from top brands, including Blue Buffalo, Nutri Source, Natural Balance, and more. We also offer competitive pricing and the option to deliver anywhere in Eureka and Arcata for no extra charge.
  • Grooming: Our full-service grooming salon offers a range of services, including haircuts, baths, and nail trimming. We also offer self-service washes and walk-in appointments for pedicures, ear flush, ear plucking, anal gland expression, and teeth cleaning.
  • Boarding & Day Care: Our boarding facility provides a safe, clean, and loving environment for your pets. Our rooms are heated, and we provide orthopedic beds for your pet's comfort. We have never had an outbreak of kennel cough and have received excellent ratings during surprise inspections by the County of Humboldt Animal Control.
  • Overnight & Day Care: Our overnight boarding and day-care services offer playtime in small groups, daily walks, and plenty of TLC. You can rest assured that your pets are in good hands.
