Our Story

Welcome to Rub My Belly Doggie Spa, where we believe every dog deserves to be pampered and treated like a cherished family member. Our story began with the adoption of a beautiful Bichon Frise puppy named Sachi. From the moment we locked eyes, I knew she was meant to be a part of our family. The joy of bringing Sachi home was quickly followed by the challenges of puppyhood. Housebreaking proved to be an adventure, and Sachi had a penchant for chewing on everything in sight, from shoes and socks to even toilet paper rolls! But her most perplexing issue was her persistent scratching and chewing on her paws.

After numerous trips to the vet, it became clear that Sachi was suffering from severe allergies, a common problem in dogs, but one that can be particularly frustrating for both owners and their furry companions. Sachi wasn't just allergic to common allergens like grass and food, but a wide range of things that dogs need for optimal health. This meant a constant search for the right food, supplements, and even specialized shampoos to manage her sensitive skin.

Adding to the challenges, Sachi had a bad reaction to her first professional grooming experience, leading to more vet visits and a long discussion with the groomer about finding a gentler approach that catered to her delicate skin. It was during these trials and tribulations that we realized the importance of finding a grooming salon that truly understood the needs of dogs with special needs.

• Puppy Package: For our youngest clientele, we offer a gentle introduction to grooming. This special package includes a soothing bath, ear cleaning, nail trimming, a gentle blow-dry and brush-out, and a heartwarming belly rub.

• Bath Package: A revitalizing bath experience that includes a relaxing spa bath, delicate ear cleaning, gentle nail trimming and polishing, a thorough blow-dry and brush-out.

• Spa Package Special: Enhance your chosen groom or bath package with our Spa Package Special. This includes a thorough tooth brushing, a refreshing facial, and a specialized shampoo designed to nourish your dog's skin.

• A La Carte Services: We understand that every dog is different and may require specific care. We offer a wide range of a la carte services, such as blueberry facials, specialized shampoos, nail painting, poodle feet trims, detangling, furminator treatment, anal gland expression, and of course, a soothing belly rub (always a favorite!).
