Helping pets find their forever homes
A Passion for Rescue & Rehoming
The Benevolent Animal Rescue Committee (BARC) has been a cornerstone of the Cherry Valley community for over 30 years. Driven by an unwavering passion for animal welfare, our dedicated team has helped find loving forever homes for thousands of dogs and cats. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, committed to making a difference in the lives of abandoned, neglected, and surrendered animals.
Our Mission
Our mission is to control the dog and cat population through responsible spay/neuter programs and to place abandoned pets in loving forever homes. We prioritize the well-being of every animal in our care, providing medical attention, fostering, and loving care until they find their perfect match.
Services Offered
- Adoption & Rehoming: We find loving homes for abandoned and surrendered animals through individual placements and partnerships with other rescues.
- Spay & Neuter Assistance: We offer affordable spay/neuter programs for low-income pet owners.
- Medical Care: We provide basic medical care to all animals in our care, including vaccinations, deworming, and routine checkups.
- Foster Care: We rely on compassionate volunteers who open their homes to animals awaiting adoption.
- Community Outreach: We host fundraising events, educational workshops, and volunteer opportunities to engage the community and raise awareness about animal welfare.
