At Dickens' Pet Care Services, we understand the importance of finding the right care for your pet. Whether your pet has special needs or is just a happy-go-lucky companion, we offer private and professional care that you can trust. Our services are designed to cater to pets that are uncomfortable boarding in public kennels and appreciate one-on-one care.

Our dedicated team, led by Nancy Dietrich, has over 25 years of experience in the animal health industry. Nancy has a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has worked as a veterinary assistant, certified veterinary technician, animal pharmaceutical sales representative, pet sitter, shelter worker, and pet adoption counselor.

Nancy's passion for animals started at a young age when she began rescuing animals. She has rescued and rehabilitated a variety of pets including a Brittany spaniel mix, an abandoned German shepherd and beagle, two Italian greyhound mixes, several cats, a rabbit, and a multitude of guinea pigs.

In May 2009, Nancy welcomed Dickens, a blue-eyed, long-haired Chihuahua who was rescued from a puppy mill at age two. Dickens lived in a small, filthy kennel and had never experienced the sun or grass before being rescued. He had never met a pleasant human and lived without love or hope. However, he was lucky to find new humans who spent months helping him adjust to a better world. Dickens became the inspiration behind Dickens' Pet Care Services.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services to cater to your pet's needs. These include:

• Doggy Daycare: Our doggy daycare services are available in 10am-2pm or 2-4 hours slots for $25 if you drop-off and pick-up at our home. For each trip we take to pick-up or drop-off your dog, please add $5. It's more about the extra time than the gas. For an 8am-6pm slot or 6-8 hours, the cost is $35. Same fees apply for pick-up and drop-off.

• Overnight Stays: Our overnight stays are available for $60 per night. This includes one-on-one care and a comfortable place for your pet to sleep.

• Private Professional Care: Our private professional care services are tailored to meet the specific needs of your pet. Whether your pet has special needs physically and/or emotionally, we can provide the care and attention they need.

Our Home

Our dog-friendly home has a nice fenced yard for play, exercise, or just bathroom needs. In fair weather, we will take your dog to the local dog park if they are comfortable with that and licensed. Park permits are $5/day unless you have an annual permit.
