At K9 Command, we are passionate about changing the relationship between dogs and their owners. Since 1994, we have been dedicated to coaching owners how to become calm, assertive leaders through fair and effective methods of training. We believe in creating confident and knowledgeable dog owners, establishing a relationship between dog and owner that has long-term stability and reliability.
Our history began when Mark Connolly and Amy Henderson met as students at West Virginia Canine College. They shared a common goal and aspirations, leading to a strong partnership. A year after meeting, Mark and Amy were married, further solidifying their bond and commitment to dog training.
K9 Command is located in Vale, North Carolina, close to South Mountains State Park. Our training center has a unique and welcoming environment, providing the perfect setting for both dogs and their owners to learn and grow. We offer a variety of dog training programs designed to cater to all breeds and ages, from puppies to adult dogs.
Our Services
At K9 Command, we offer a range of services tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Whether you're looking for private lessons, group classes, or board and train options, we have something for everyone.
Our private lessons are designed for owners who prefer one-on-one instruction. These sessions provide personalized attention and coaching, allowing us to address specific issues or behaviors. For puppies aged 10-16 weeks, we offer specialized training to help them develop good habits and behaviors from an early age.
Our group classes cater to dogs aged 16 weeks and up. These classes focus on basic obedience, advanced obedience, and even trick classes and nosework. We also offer an accountability group class to help owners stay on track with their training.
For those who prefer a more comprehensive approach, our board and train options provide an immersive training experience. Your dog will live with us for a specified period, receiving daily training and socialization. Upon completion, you'll receive coaching on how to maintain the progress made during the board and train program.
In addition to our in-person services, we also offer online consultations and remote learning options. These are perfect for owners who cannot travel to our facility but still want to benefit from our expertise.
