Highland Farms Boarding Kennel and Store has been serving the dog community for over 24 years. Our goal is to provide a loving and caring environment for your furry friends, treating them as our own. Our small size allows us to offer extra care and attention to each pet that stays with us.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services designed to cater to your pet's needs. Our dog boarding facilities are equipped with air-conditioned and heated inside/outside runs, with almost 100 square feet of room in each kennel run. The kennels also feature kennel decks on the floors, ensuring your pet never lies on a hard cold floor. We provide blankets in every kennel, and you can also bring your pet's favorite blanket.

Our "Doggie B&B" offers an outdoor play yard, a kitchen area for preparing doggy snacks, and a reception area. We have recently renovated the original kennel, now known as "The Carriage House, " which features the same large runs, air conditioning, and heating as the "Doggie B&B." It also includes a wonderful play yard for your pets to enjoy.

In addition to our boarding services, we also operate a store featuring Hill's Science Diet dog and cat food, natural pet treats, toys, and dog-inspired gifts and apparel. If you live south of Ithaca, you can save a trip into the city and get your pet food locally at great prices. We encourage you to visit our store and explore our selection of pet supplies and gifts.

Meet the Team

Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible care for your pet. Janet and Tom Gray, the owners of Highland Farms, purchased the property over 25 years ago with the intention of building an English-style Bed and Breakfast. However, the business evolved into a "B and B" for dogs, and we have been serving the dog community ever since. Our team also includes Eve, Gus, and Dug, our Golden Retriever helpers who are always ready to greet your pet.

Rates and Services

Our rates are all-inclusive, and we don't charge extra for administering medication or providing special needs for your pet. Dogs are let out in the play yard four times a day, and we encourage you to visit before your pet stays with us. We ask that all dog guests be inoculated for rabies and DHLPP, as well as receive flea/tick and worm prevention on a regular basis.
