Concord School of Grooming is a post-secondary school authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, dedicated to providing quality education and promoting the physical skills needed to become a professional pet groomer in Knoxville, TN. Our History and Accolades

Susan Porterfield, our esteemed owner and founder, has been dedicated to the pet grooming industry for more than 50 years. She was presented with the Silas Award by the National Association of Creative Professional Groomers, the first time this award was given in the United States. Our management team, David and Susan Porterfield, have a wealth of experience, having bred and shown horses, cats, and dogs for over five decades. They are American Kennel Club (AKC) judges and past members of the Professional Handlers Association. We are proud to be listed in the "Who's Who of Dog Handling."

Authorizations and Accreditation

Concord School of Grooming is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and authorized to operate in the state of Tennessee. This authorization is subject to annual renewal and is based on an evaluation of standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety, and fiscal responsibility.
