At Montrose Dog Boarding, we believe that every pet is a cherished member of the family. Our journey began with a simple dream of creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for pets to stay while their owners are away. Our story started with a corporate executive trading in her suit and tie for a more fulfilling life as a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful daughters and two handsome Labrador boys.

The inspiration for Montrose Dog Boarding was sparked by our love for dogs and the desire to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for pets during their stay with us. Our founder, who has been working with dogs since her early days as a 4-Her, decided to turn her passion into a career. With a background in winning multiple obedience and showmanship Champion ribbons at the county fair level, she knew she had the skills and knowledge to create a place where pets could feel at home.

In May of 2019, we opened our doors in our current location, and since then, we've been building a dedicated team of "pack leaders" and groomers who share our love for dogs. In 2021, our founder's husband, Matt, also left his corporate job to join the team, further strengthening our commitment to providing exceptional care for our guests.

• Dog Boarding: Our boarding facilities are designed to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your dog. We offer spacious living quarters, delicious meals, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and play. Our dedicated staff ensures that each guest receives the attention and care they deserve.

• Cat & Pocket Pet Boarding: We understand that cats and pocket pets have different needs than dogs. That's why we offer specialized boarding facilities for these pets. Our staff is trained to provide the gentle care and attention that these pets require.

• Dog Daycare: Our dog daycare service allows your pet to socialize with other dogs and enjoy a fun-filled day of play and exercise. Our staff supervises all activities to ensure your pet's safety and well-being.

• Grooming: We offer a variety of grooming services to keep your pet looking and feeling their best. From baths and haircuts to nail trimming and dental care, we have everything your pet needs to stay clean and healthy.

Guest Requirements

At Montrose Dog Boarding, we take the health and safety of our guests very seriously. That's why we have certain vaccination requirements for all pets staying with us.

• Dogs: Dogs must be current on their Rabies vaccine, Distemper & Parvo vaccine, and Bordetella vaccine. Puppies under four months must be current on Bordetella and Distemper/Parvo vaccines and receive their Rabies vaccine at four months. Puppies six months and older must be spayed or neutered to participate in group play boarding or daycare.

• Cats: Cats must be current on their Rabies vaccine and FVRC vaccine.

• Pocket Pets: Pocket pets may have different vaccination requirements, so please contact us for more information.

All vaccinations must be given by a licensed veterinarian, and records must be submitted prior to your pet's stay. We also require that all guests be current on Dewormer, Flea & Tick preventatives, and be parasite-free.

What to Bring for Boarding

When your pet stays with us, we want to ensure they feel comfortable and at ease. That's why we ask you to bring a few essential items with you when you drop off your pet.

• Food: Please bring enough food for the duration of your pet's stay plus an extra day, just in case. Make sure to disclose any food allergies when dropping off your pet. We have a fridge and freezer available to keep fresh or canned food.

• Medicine: If your pet requires any medication, please bring it in the original bottle or organize multiple medications in a clear, labeled container.
