At Muncie Obedience Training Club (MOTC), we have been promoting responsible dog ownership through dog training, good sportsmanship, and forming a bond with our dogs since 1946. Our mission is to make dog training rewarding and fun for both the dog and the handler. We welcome all breeds and mixed breeds to our classes.
Our Services
We offer a variety of classes and programs to cater to different needs and skill levels. Our classes are divided into two main categories: Companion (Pet) Classes and Competition Classes.
In our Companion (Pet) Classes, we offer a range of programs that focus on basic obedience training, socialization, and building a strong bond between dogs and their handlers. Our classes include S.T.A.R. Puppy, Basic Obedience, and Trick Dog Classes.
Our Competition Classes are designed for dogs and their handlers who are interested in competing in obedience, rally, and scent work trials. We offer classes in Obedience, Rally, Scent Work, and Fast CAT.
Free Community Seminars
MOTC offers free community seminars to the public, covering basic behavior training for puppies to adult dogs. Our seminars are presented by experienced instructors who have been training dogs for many years.
Meet Our Instructors
Our instructors are experienced dog trainers and handlers who have competed in various dog sports. They are passionate about training and sharing their knowledge with others. Our instructors include Chris Ashmore-Good, Tracy Blackford, Jeann Crowcoft, Kendra Ervin, Gayle Fahl, Brenda Grice, Bob Janek, and Kim Janek.

MOTC is a member-based organization, and we encourage everyone to join us in our mission to promote responsible dog ownership and improve the bond between dogs and their handlers.
