Willow Creek Kennels

At Willow Creek Kennels, we are a progressive dog training kennel and shooting preserve located near Little Falls, MN. Established in 2000 by Chad Hines and later joined by his wife, Tracy, our primary goal is to provide customized dog training programs using innovative and positive methods. Our experienced trainers have trained thousands of dogs and have earned over 60 Master Hunter titles.

Our mission at Willow Creek is to provide dog training assistance utilizing innovative and positive methods. We aim to breed versatile German Shorthaired Pointers that excel on land and water and perform well as family hunting companions. Our vision is to provide the very best value for dogs and their people by constantly seeking talented German Shorthairs, the most efficient dog training methods, and intensive management of our fields and water.

Training Programs

We offer a range of training programs tailored to specific breeds and hunting styles. Our CORE TRAINING PROGRAMS include Pointing, Flushing, and Waterfowl training. Our Pointing program focuses on developing whoa, here, heel, and kennel with positive reinforcement, collar conditioning, and innovative experimenting. Our Flushing program introduces dogs to high numbers of quality birds to develop bird sense quickly and establish range through positive reinforcement and collar conditioning. Our Waterfowl program involves live winged mallards being tossed into a small pond to develop prey drive and tracking in cattails and water.

We feature a 266-acre property with diverse landscapes, including young aspen tree lines, intermixed agricultural fields, and numerous small ponds and streams. This unique environment allows us to simulate real-world hunting scenarios and provide dogs with a comprehensive training experience.

About Our Facilities

This unique environment allows us to simulate real-world hunting scenarios and provide dogs with a comprehensive training experience.

Reservations and Pricing

We typically book out several months in advance, sometimes longer during peak training months. Our pricing covers all costs, including food, boarding, birds, and tick and heartworm preventative. Make a reservation deposit of $200 non-refundable to hold your training spot, applied to your invoice at the time of training. Our monthly pricing starts at $1800 (plus MN sales tax), with premium months of August, September, and October being $2100 (plus MN sales tax). Daily training rates are also available at $66 (plus tax) per day for training less than a month.
